The Challenge
The utility required corrosion-resistant enclosures rated for outdoor use in a harsh chemical environment near a water treatment facility. Standard catalog enclosures didn't meet the specific internal layout and cable entry requirements.
Our Solution
We fabricated custom 316 stainless steel enclosures with continuously welded seams, silicone gaskets, and custom-machined cable glands. Internal mounting panels were designed to accommodate the client's specific DIN rail and terminal block layouts. All enclosures passed NEMA 4X testing for washdown and corrosion resistance.
The Results
18 enclosures installed with full compliance to utility specifications. Annual inspection showed zero corrosion after 3 years of outdoor service. The utility has specified Spencer Fabrications for their next substation project.
